3rd Beach Camping - Its a 13 mile trek through high trees sometimes shrouded in fog giving the forest here a spooky aura. There are grills picnic tables and a shade structure located near the boat ramp. Third Beach tends to be a bit less congested than its neighbor to the north Second Beach likely owing to the longer hike and the less impressive sea stacks and tide pools.

I know for a fact that Paines Campground although a really nice campground is NOT on any beach but a good walk of 25-35 miles to the ocean and almost 2 miles to a pond.

An awesome spot for beginners and pros alike with all the draws of big coast camping and only a short 12 mile hike to the water Third Beach is by far my favorite spot to get away from the crowds and enjoy some ocean side solidarity.
